GRANDCHILDREN CALLING YOU OUT

My life was tough, but, no tougher than any of these others. I ran from God for years, I am 53 yrs old now. I knew what was right, I had been brought up in the Word just not a part of the Word! Been in the bike world for years , love Motorcycles! Loved the bike world! I could escape my guilt, heartache, and loneliness! Then you have these great things called Kids who in turn grow up and have these other things called Grandchildren. Being children are innocent and open, and will call you out! When I figured out that my way of living isnt an example for such little noble beings, which hit me pretty hard, I started looking for a way to be […]

NEVER ENOUGH

I had the privilege to be born and raised in a loving Christian home BUT that wasn’t ENOUGH. I went to all the church services. Sunday morning and evening, Monday night Awana, and Wednesday night prayer meetings BUT that wasn’t ENOUGH. I was still a sinner. Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory.”   Being raised in a Christian home and going to church was never going to be good enough to get me to heaven. Romans 6:23 says “The cost of sin is death, but God’s free gift is eternal life.” I had, what I would consider, a good childhood. As a child I “said a prayer”. I “said a prayer” several times but nothing ever changed. Saying a […]

WORLDLY TO SERVANT

First and foremost Thank you Jesus for first loving me a sinner. I am one of the stubborn ones that thought I could do it all on my own. I came from broken non loving showing home that push me away at a young age. I gave up a full ride scholarship to play baseball to chase what I thought was the love of my life which lasted 13 years before that relationship fell apart. I never was a drinker or a drug user. I turn to pornography due to working in and around strip clubs. I met this beautiful woman at a job a friend got me to get me away from the night jobs that kept me in a bad place and also […]

HOMELESS TO HAVING HER OWN KEYS

There is so much I can say about the LOS ministry and what I have done with the local chapter CityKnights in NYC over the last 10 years, but I have one of many stories of God’s redemption that begs to be shared.  We were doing street outreach that I called the Midnight Outreach. This specific outreach was done on Saturday nights from 9pm until after midnight, 1x a month.  The communities we chose were mostly low income, disenfranchised neighborhoods, high crime, homelessness, and drug infested. We wanted to reach the Lost for the Cross at a time that was different from the usual Saturday afternoon church outreach. Our usual spots were Coney Island train station, Harlem 125th Street, and other parts of NYC. One Summer […]

I ONCE WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE

I praise God for how Jesus has changed my life! I was once a broken man with a cold, dead heart. Jesus has remade me into a new creation, giving me a love for people and a burden for the lost. He has delivered me from a sinful past, assuring my salvation. But most importantly, He has taken His rightful place as Lord in my life!BEFORE CHRIST (BC)In the past, BC Ben was very lustful and materialistic, hateful and angry, judgmental and unloving. I would hate others for no reason and had created a system where they had to earn my tolerance. I used to drink heavily on weekends and socially. Most weekdays, I would drink as a way to disconnect. I was always searching […]

RESTORATION AS PROMISED

We all have taken various paths throughout our lives.  The only commonality is that we arrived at a point in our lives where we knew we could no longer do it by ourselves.  As a result, we turned to the only One who could help us in our despair…the Lord Jesus Christ.  While many of us may have been dragged down into the depths of despair without a choice, mine was different.  I made my own choices, and, in many cases, they were the wrong ones to make.  You see, I was a moderately successful white-collar worker (an accountant) with a wife, two young boys and a house with the proverbial picket fence.  In short, I had it all… except God.  I was content with […]
